Vice President

The ideal Vice President at Collected will have extensive financial communications experience, deep knowledge of capital markets, and a desire to challenge themselves in a sophisticated and fast-paced environment. They will possess excellent writing skills and acute attention to detail and be able to produce thoughtful work while helping to lead client engagements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver strategic counsel to clients on internal and external communications matters, in both event-driven and ongoing situations
• Manage client teams and oversee projects, ensuring deliverables and deadlines are met
• Train and lead junior team members, taking responsibility for advancing others’ skillsets
• Monitor news and trends within client industries proactively to identify and leverage relevant issues and topics
• Develop and maintain key relationships with financial and business media, focusing on media platforms most relevant to Collected’s clients and their industries
• Collaborate with the Collected partners and managing directors to create and execute new business activities and initiatives

Experience and Skills

• Five or more years of experience in financial services, professional services, technology and/or B2B communications; agency experience preferred, but not required
• Excellent critical thinking and writing abilities
• Excellent verbal and presentation skills
• Experience engaging directly with the media on proactive and reactive corporate matters
• Strong work ethic, with a practical and team-oriented approach
• Ability to manage projects and prioritize tasks effectively in a demanding and fast-paced environment
• Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand how relevant global issues affect the businesses and industries of our clients
• Willingness to develop into a trusted leader and advisor, learning directly from the Collected partners and managing directors while training and nurturing junior talent
• Desire to be a part of a new and growing business
• Knowledge of social and digital media platforms
• A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Finance or related field
